Special note for Fresh Cut Flower shipments:
We use Federal Express "Standard Overnight" service. One or two days is normal if we ship at the beginning of the week. We do not ship over the weekend because of the problem of having our flowers caught in the Federal Express warehouse for an extra day. Tell us which day you wish your flowers to arrive and we will try our utmost to have them at the door on schedule. Orders we receive on Friday, Saturday or Sunday are generally shipped on Monday, except during busy seasons. In most cases we ship Monday through Thursday. Orders will take one or two days for delivery and can be delivered on Tuesday through Friday (depending on the destination.) Order early.
Our daily cut-off deadline for a flower order is 7:00 AM Hawaii Time. This means that an order received after 7:00 AM on Wednesday can't be shipped until Thursday. For example: for us to ship flowers to the East Coast for a Friday arrival date, we must receive the order before 7:00 AM Wednesday (Hawaii time). Order early.
California, Washington, Oregon and parts of Idaho, Nevada, Colorado and Arizona are one day delivery; however, some remote locations within these states may take two days and/or require an additional $15 fee. All other states to the east are two day delivery. California is one day delivery but sometimes it's two days because of state agricultural inspection (no way to control this.) Please call if you have an urgent delivery date... otherwise, we ship as soon as is possible or on the date stipulated in the order form.
Important: Orchid bouquets and live orchids are shipped only on Monday through Wednesday.
Important:Be sure to double check the shipping address. Federal Express is fast and reliable but they are also very picky about having a correct address and zip code. There will be a $15 surcharge for incorrect information that can be corrected in transit. Incorrect shipping information may cause the delivery to be lost and void our guarantee.
Important:It is highly recommended that the recipient be informed a package from Hawaii will be arriving. We always require a signature for our Federal Express deliveries unless the sender specifically requests that the package be left at the door without a signature.
However (special situations)So… the best course is to inform the recipient that a package from Hawaii will be arriving, or to be very sure that someone will be available to receive the shipment. If a package is to be left unsigned for and unattended there should be clear and confident arrangements for pick up at a later time. A package that is lost for the above reasons may void our guarantee.
1. If the Fed Ex driver decides that the weather is bad or perhaps the neighborhood is not safe, the package will not be left without a signature even if "no signature required" is stipulated.
2. If the recipient has a personal "signature on file" with Fed Ex the package may be left at the door without a signature even though Aloha Fresh Flowers asks for a signature on the package.
Important: It's possible to have Saturday delivery in many areas but there is an additional $20 charge for the special Federal Express service. Also, there will be a $10 surcharge for orders to Alaska and other remote locations in the United States.
Important: Please notify us within 8 calender days of the expected delivery date if you believe there is a problem with the shipment. It's difficult for us to help out after that time and our delivery guarantee is void.
Flowers--an Agricultural Commodity: For 99% of the time we have no problem filling orders; however, because of the nature of the flower growing industry and the laws of supply and demand, we reserve the right to make substitutions of equal or higher value, if needed. Please let us know if you absolutely must have the precise colors and flowers you are ordering.
Special Request Flower Orders: Maybe you have a color theme you want to match or a particular decor? That's no problem... you can substitute other colors of Anthuriums in the arrangement often without extra charge. Please tell us about the color substitutions you wish to make in your flower order.
